I truly believe that food is not only made for survival but created for sanity. Whenever I do not have enough sustenance in my belly, I become a little less patient and a little less kind. Most people probably wouldn’t notice this change in me because I typically try to keep this side hidden from the masses, unless I am drunk and I don’t care how I’m perceive–good or bad but that’s another story for another day. I absolutely love food so when I don’t have enough in my system, especially right before a big meal (i.e. Thanksgiving), I can go a little cray cray so with that said, here are 5 thoughts that go through my head (and maybe yours too) while hungry, in chronological order:
1. Belly unhappy. Needs food.
2. I sense a snack near me.
3. Maybe I’m just thirsty. Nah, I’m definitely hungry.
4. Everyone needs to shut up so I can be at one with my growling tummy. Om…
5. This fruit cake is the bomb! Oh wait… I’m just hungry.
Now it’s your turn to tell me! What are some of your thoughts while hungry? Let’s talk about it!
