Sometimes, Mondays are best to just ease into without any fuss. The best way I can think of to do this is by listening to some jazz so I enlisted one of my favorite bloggers who happens to be an expert in jazz music to help me pick out some great tunes for you guys to vibe to on this Monday. His name is Jose and his blog is Jazz You Too. He was able to capture some fantastic renditions of classics by today’s cool cats in the jazz genre so take a breath, relax and ease into this work week with the mellow sounds below! Oh, and thank Jose for the great selection!
Moody’s Mood for Love
Rendition by Cecile McLorin Salvant
The Nearness of You
Rendition by Warren Walker & Cyrille Aimée Quintet
Rendition by José James
Rendition by Gretchen Parlato
In The Wee Small Hours
Rendition by Tierney Sutton
I wanted to add another mellow jazz classic by the legendary Grover Washington Jr. because a very special person in my life played on this song. (Hint: It’s my father! hehe)
by Grover Washington Jr. (featuring my dad and other cool cats from ways back)
