It would be awesome if every day, we were able to align ourselves with the holiday spirit – filled with joy, happiness, and peace. However, life is not always like that and we could all use some help to bring our spirits up. One way we could do this may sound super cheesy but I think it can work very well at times–we could listen to Christmas songs throughout the year. Who says we have to listen to Jingle Bells, Joy To The World and Let It Snow only in December? We can listen to those happy tunes whenever we like and find some cheer even during our dreary days with those holiday classics! Of course, I know these songs alone won’t bring the holiday spirit in full force all the time but it’s a nice little treat to give to oneself when you’re having a bad day. You’ll be surprised what the power of music can do with your mood. In fact, according to NPR, Elena Mannes, author of The Power of Music, believes that music “stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function,” and “has the potential to help people with neurological deficits” (Source). So why not get those brain waves flowing towards some feel-good music that could provide some great benefits? Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, good vibes are good vibes and we can all benefit from them, especially nowadays so I thought I would share three great music-related videos that will surely have you in the holiday spirit!
